The following is a summary of what they do – they are extremely passionate about helping the needy with much needed services.

Provide relevant meaningful services:

Free healthcare classes to anyone in need
- Diabetes
- Hypertension
- Dental (MOST KEY need) – a lot of health problems start at the mouth –
- Etc.

Helping Hand Crisis Ministry – available there on Tuesdays 4-6 pm – they do free BP, Blood sugar screenings and can answer questions and be an advocate

Provide an ear for people because there is a lack of understanding of the system and how to get help
- Their mission is to seek out the unseen needy
- Available at Spicewood Community Library – 10 am to 12 pm – 2nd and 4th Tuesdays

If customers cannot afford meds, food or the lifestyle necessary for their health, they help develop a game plan for the rest of your life
- Can fill prescriptions (i.e. antibiotics, blood pressure meds, as long as customer applies for MAPS), program pays for the initial prescription, has filled 20 prescriptions since Feb 2014 (COPD, CHF)
- They can also help by having access to resources, health education (i.e. Lake Travis Library – they do a Balance Class) – can provide ideas for Teens/Youth health and nutrition
- Can help customers figure out options for skilled nursing, alert monitors, skilled nursing and assisted living

- They do advocacy work for customers (make phone calls for them)

Can offer Parenting programs, Grief or Divorce Support Groups, Smoking Cessation, Healthy Snacks for school children, Managing Stress, Health/Fitness (walking, chair Zumba)

Referrals – find her people that need help!
- Donations (i.e. shoes for school kids, adult brief drives, diaper drives)

Involvement – invite them to community events, and they would like to be involved in all of the Spicewood community organizations
